Not Just A Machine

Not just a machine, is a book I created for a university project. This project started prior to my degree, but I knew I wanted to take it further and publish the work as a book. This was then done in correspondence with the work I was being asked to complete for my degree.

What is not just a machine? This project is about the relationship between people and their cars. I photographed both the cars and the people who drive them. This was to show the relationship people have with their cars. The car community have been a big part of my life and has been a part of an all-female group for some years. Most people like myself find comfort and friendships with their vehicles.
